Guide to Illumience

Load Test

Load tests are a great way to check that your load is operating the way it should and troubleshoot if there are any issues. We offer a test specific for a light and then a regular test for all other types of loads. Both tests can be performed through an API call.

Light Test

If the system has a light, you have the option to perform a light test. If the light has dimming functionality, the light test will start with dimming at 100% intensity and then alternate between various intensities for a duration of 30 sections at each intensity. If dimming is not available then it will turn the light on/off to check that it works.

Light test results can be viewed from Information Central.

Load Test

The load test determines what state the load port is in and then attempts to solve any existing issues. The following table describes the various states the port could be in and what is the result when the test is run:

StatusResult
Low Voltage Disconnect (LVD)Lower the LVD voltage for 30 minutes so that the load can be powered for a short period of time. The voltage and time can be configured through the Load Test Settings.
Short CircuitAttempts to clear the short circuit. If the short circuit persists then please contact Clear Blue service.
Output OverloadAttempts to clear the output overload. If the output overload persists then please contact Clear Blue’s service team.
None of the aboveIf the system isn’t experiencing any of the statuses above then the load port will be rebooted for a period of time, default is 10s. This can be changed through the system edit menu. The reboot time can be configured through the Load Test Settings.
